AUGUST VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT

This week's Volunteer Spotlight Series highlights volunteer Melanie Massell!

"The professionals at Schoke Jewish Family Service continually show their sincere appreciation to their volunteers, making it a pleasure to be part of the team. Each JFS employee goes out of his/her way to show their gratitude with a friendly smile, conversation and ALWAYS a thank you.

My volunteer project comprises food delivery to JFS clients and I find it extremely rewarding. My recipients (now friends) eagerly await their deliveries with a big smile. I am proud to be a JFS volunteer, and plan to continue my service for as long as I am needed."
Thank you Melanie for all your hard work, we are so happy to have you as part of our #SJFS family!

Volunteers are an integral part of the work we do here at Elayne and James Schoke Jewish Family Service and we are so excited to kick off our Volunteer Spotlight Series with volunteer Nicole Satanovsky.

“My overall experience has been so meaningful: I've gotten to meet so many people, both clients, and fellow volunteers.
My favorite thing has been getting to speak on the phone with all clients and getting familiar with them. I've also loved to see how everyone is constantly working so hard to make the services easier for clients, whether reorganizing the pantry to be more efficient or transferring the pantry to a digital system.
I chose to volunteer because I've been doing virtual concerts with Schoke JFS for around a year now, and I've loved the experience; I wanted to be a more significant part of Schoke JFS and see how I can contribute to improving our client's lives. Throughout the summer, It has brought me so much joy!”

We are so thankful to have Nicole be a part of our #SJFS family!
