Join Schoke JFS and Maritime Odyssey Preschool as we bring the Freedberg Family Kosher Food Pantry directly into the Norwalk community.
Volunteers will help prepare the mobile pantry for distribution, organize and stock service tables, retrieve refrigerated and frozen items, and pack grocery bags for clients. Volunteers may also help restock items and keep the distribution area organized throughout the event.
This is a hands-on opportunity for volunteers who enjoy working as part of a team and helping community members access nutritious kosher food with dignity and care. No previous pantry experience is required. A brief orientation and instructions will be provided when you arrive.
Please wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing. This opportunity may take place partly outdoors and may involve standing, bending, lifting, and carrying grocery bags or food items.
