This volunteer plays a vital role in our food stability work by helping transport and deliver donated kosher meals each week. Volunteers will pick up meals from Restaurant 613, bring them to the Schoke JFS Stamford office, and deliver them directly to community members who rely on this support. Because needs shift week to week, delivery locations may change. making this role ideal for someone who is flexible, dependable, and enjoys meaningful one-on-one service.
Responsibilities
- Pick up donated kosher meals from Restaurant 613
- Transport meals safely to the Schoke JFS Stamford office
- Deliver meals to individuals in the community following a weekly delivery list
- Adapt to changing delivery routes, as recipients may vary week to week
- Handle meals with care, dignity, and respect
- Communicate any delivery concerns or issues to staff
- Use your own vehicle for deliveries,
